National Honor Society
Instructor: Mr. T. Wright   
National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes excellence in high school students. Four qualities are considered for each applicant: scholarship, service, character, and leadership. Minimum cumulative grade point averages of 3.60 for sophomores, 3.55 for juniors, and 3.50 for seniors are required. In addition, students must have completed a minimum amount of community service for consideration: 30 hours for sophomores, 40 hours for juniors, and 50 hours for seniors.

National Honor Society induction
Reedsport Community Charter School's National Honor Society conducted its annual induction ceremony in the Braves Center at Reedsport Community Charter School on May 20, 2013, from 7 to 8 pm. Outstanding 7th, 8th, and 9th graders were recognized and three incoming members were inducted: Ruby Cardoso, Jessica Shields, and Jenna Bennett. New officers Bailey Tymchuk, Rachel Lacewell, and Prerak Bhakta were installed.
